Abstract

This paper proposes an innovative approach to addressing modern cyber threats by leveraging the versatility and resilience of hybrid mesh firewalls. Hybrid mesh firewalls combine the strengths of traditional perimeter-based firewalls with the flexibility and adaptability of mesh networking. By dynamically routing traffic through a decentralized network of interconnected nodes, hybrid mesh firewalls can effectively mitigate distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attacks, prevent lateral movement of threats within the network, and enhance overall network resilience. Key features of hybrid mesh firewalls include intelligent traffic routing algorithms, decentralized threat detection mechanisms, and real-time threat intelligence integration. These features enable proactive threat mitigation and rapid response to emerging cyber threats, ensuring continuous protection of critical network assets. Through their versatility and resilience, hybrid mesh firewalls offer a promising avenue for organizations to bolster their cybersecurity posture and safeguard against evolving cyber risks.
